About Hétis
Hétis is responsible for providing initial and continuing education and training for social workers.
OUR MISSION

A HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION OF SOCIAL WORK
Hétis is a higher education and vocational training Institute, providing initial and continuing education and training for social workers. Professionals can also obtain official recognition of their qualifications through the validation of prior experience.
Since its creation, Hétis has been committed to training skilled professionals in the fields of social and medico-social work—individuals capable of navigating complexity and addressing today’s social challenges.
OUR VALUES

FOSTERING COLLECTIVE COMMITMENT
Our success relies on the involvement of everyone. We adopt a participatory approach, actively engaging all stakeholders of Hétis—staff, students, social work professionals, social services users, and public partners—in innovative projects and practical initiatives that aim to tackle today’s and tomorrow’s social challenges.
PROMOTING SOLIDARITY AND INCLUSION
At Hétis, we believe in the value of diversity. We welcome staff and students from a variety of backgrounds and are committed to ensuring equal opportunity, notably through our Diversity Charter and an active policy supporting the integration of people with disabilities.
INVESTING IN EXCELLENCE AND INNOVATION
At Hétis, we promote research and development through LARIIS, our interdisciplinary research lab. For the past 17 years, thanks to innovative approaches, LARIIS has been generating knowledge on the processes, stakeholders, and impacts of public social policies—knowledge that helps drive lasting improvements in social intervention practices.
HETIS, A MEMBER OF CERSO

CerSo is a consortium of four higher education Institutions (ARIFTS (in Pays de la Loire, HÉTIS in Nice, IRTS Hauts-de-France, IRTS La Réunion) in the field of social work.
Its primary goal is to pool the expertise and resources of its members in order to strengthen training and research in social work, support certification initiatives, and foster innovation in addressing local and national needs.
Thanks to its presence in diverse territories and the expertise of its teams, CerSo:
- develops joint training programs and research projects;
- responds to national and international calls for proposals;
- creates digital training modules;
- registers and implements diplomas and certifications;
- promotes collaboration between trainers and researchers through conferences and academic events.
As a key contact for partners wishing to develop social work training or research projects, CerSo is now a recognized actor at both national and international levels.
In its European and international projects, HÉTIS can act as a partner or coordinator in its own name, but it can also do so on behalf of CerSo, especially when a project requires interregional or national coverage.
